Refund & Delivery Policy

This Refund & Delivery Policy applies to all purchases made from D & J Paton Bros Landscape Supplies (“Paton Soils,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing materials or arranging delivery, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Refund Policy

All sales are final unless otherwise stated.

Refunds or exchanges may be considered at Paton Soils’ discretion under the following conditions:

  • Materials are returned within a reasonable timeframe
  • Materials are unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition
  • Proof of purchase is provided

The following items are non-refundable:

  • Delivered materials
  • Special-order or custom materials
  • Clearance or discounted items
  • Materials that have been installed, altered, or used

Approved refunds may be subject to a restocking fee.

Delivery Policy (Paton Soils-Arranged Delivery)

Paton Soils offers delivery services for select materials. While we take reasonable care in loading and transporting products, Paton Soils is not responsible for:

  • Damage resulting from site conditions
  • Damage caused during unloading once materials leave the delivery vehicle
  • Placement decisions made at the delivery location
  • Delays caused by weather, site access issues, or circumstances beyond our control

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:

  • Clear and safe access to the delivery location
  • Appropriate ground conditions for material placement
  • Accurate delivery information is provided in advance

Customer-Supplied Vehicle Disclaimer

If materials are loaded into a vehicle supplied by the customer:

  • The customer assumes full responsibility for the securement, transportation, and use of the materials
  • Paton Soils is not responsible for load security, shifting, damage, or loss once materials are loaded
  • Paton Soils is not liable for damage to vehicles, trailers, or equipment supplied by the customer

All materials that leave Paton Soils property in a customer-supplied vehicle are transported entirely at the customer’s risk.

Liability Disclaimer

Paton Soils is not responsible for:

  • Damage, loss, or injury occurring after materials leave our property
  • Improper handling, transport, or installation of materials
  • Damage caused by customer error or misuse

Customers are responsible for ensuring materials are suitable for their intended use and are installed according to applicable guidelines.

Inspection of Materials

Customers are encouraged to inspect materials:

  • At the time of pickup
  • At the time of delivery before unloading is complete

Claims regarding shortages or visible defects must be reported immediately. Claims made after materials have been used or removed from the delivery location may not be accepted.
